The definition of election integrity includes making sure that every eligible vote is accurately counted.

CEIMN began its work with focusing on post-election audits. But, CEIMN has recently expanded its work to ensure that unnecessary barriers are not put in place to prevent eligible voters from voting. CEIMN spent much of 2010 researching whether or not a voter ID requirement would improve Minnesota’s elections. Based on careful analysis, CEIMN determined a voter ID is not necessary.

In fact, because it would disenfranchise honest citizens, CEIMN strongly opposes a voter ID requirement.
