The observer reports that the Senate race recount at Minnetonka City Hall was thorough and well-staffed by county elections staff. Four counting teams were
each observed by two to four partisan observers at the counting tables. Four ballots were challenged, two by the Coleman representatives and two by the Franken Representatives. The County Auditor and Secretary of State Mark Ritchie both stopped by to check-in with the Deputy Official and thank volunteers. WCCO Channel 5 News and the MN Sun both had media representatives, mostly taking video and photos. Overall, the observer felt affirmed about the integrity of the MN state recount procedures and the involvement of citizens, as did the other observers she talked with this morning.
